Why are we offering free church websites?  The answer is simple, God has blessed me greatly in my lifetime, therefore I have started looking for ways to put God first in my life and give back.   My pasture once said that it is very simple to tell if a person has put God first in his/her life, just look at their checkbook and calendar.   Unfortunately I noted that my calendar did not show the time contributions it should, therefore I decided to use my time and talents to give back.   Since my background is in software development and building websites, I decided I wanted to help churches create a presence on the web.   At first I was going to donate my time to build websites for churches, but after looking into this, I noted that this was not a long and lasting solution, due to the typical lifecycle of a church website which almost all church websites follow.   The trend plays out like this:

1)      You either pay for the website or it is created by someone in the church.

2)      Either the expensive of the changes (if you pay for it) or the limited time of the individual maintaining the website leads to static outdated sites.

3)      Since the church website is not maintained the site loses visitors and is eventually removed for a new one which starts the cycle again or the website is removed all together and the church misses out on the huge opportunities the web provides.
